Tooth enamel is strong—but it's not indestructible. Teeth can crack or chip due to:
Trauma or injury (e.g., falls, sports accidents)
Biting hard foods or objects
Grinding or clenching (bruxism)
Weakened fillings or decay
Sudden temperature changes (e.g., biting ice after hot drinks)
Even small chips can lead to discomfort, sensitivity, or worsening damage over time if not repaired promptly.
-
Inlays and onlays are custom-made restorations used to repair teeth with moderate damage or decay—especially on back molars where strength is essential. They are bonded directly to the tooth and crafted from durable materials like ceramic, porcelain, or composite resin.
Inlays fit within the grooves of the tooth (between the cusps)
Onlays cover one or more cusps, often referred to as "partial crowns"
They offer more strength than fillings and require less removal of natural tooth structure than full crowns.
Dental sealants are thin, protective coatings applied to the chewing surfaces of back teeth (molars and premolars). These areas have deep grooves where food and plaque can hide—making them more prone to decay.
Sealants act as a physical barrier, sealing off pits and fissures where toothbrush bristles can't reach. The application:
Takes just minutes per tooth
Is completely painless—no drilling or numbing
Lasts several years with normal wear
Reduces the risk of decay by up to 80% in molars
We typically apply sealants around age 6 (when first molars erupt) and again around age 12 (for second molars).
-
A dental crown is a protective cap that covers a damaged or weakened tooth. It restores the tooth's shape, strength, and appearance—while protecting it from further fracture or decay.
At MYsmile Dental, we offer:
Porcelain Crowns for a natural look
All-Ceramic Crowns for durability and biocompatibility
CEREC® Same-Day Crowns in select cases for one-visit restorations
Crowns are often recommended after:
Large fillings or fractures
Root canal therapy
Severe wear or erosion
Cosmetic enhancement of discolored or misshapen teeth

-
A dental bridge is a fixed restoration that replaces one or more missing teeth. It uses neighboring teeth (or dental implants) for support and "bridges" the gap with one or more artificial teeth, known as pontics.
Types of bridges we offer:
Traditional Bridges anchored to healthy teeth on each side
Cantilever Bridges used when only one side has a supporting tooth (less common)
Bridges restore:
Your ability to chew and speak properly
Natural facial contours
Alignment by preventing adjacent teeth from shifting
Each bridge is custom-made for a precise fit and natural appearance.
